H.Dv. - Heeres Druckvorschrift - Satire

The manual listed below are clearly humorous in nature and not official army manuals. They effectively ridicule the Ordnung muss sein principle of the German army: the fact that everything was basically covered by at least 1 manual, totaling to more than 12,000 registered official manuals.

It is not clear who and when these booklets were printed, but they are from the WW-II era. Of the most common title H.Dv. 4711  Ausbildungsvorschrift für das Rasieren various lay-outs exist. It contains the remark "Deckblätter folgen wöchentlich", which is a clear statement of the extreme bureaucracy, referring to the many supplements that were issued to the manuals. Moreover, this "manual" contains a detailed technical drawing of the standard issue German army raiser, see picture on the right.

All booklets closely follow the standard lay-out of manuals, and make fun of it. Most booklets are referenced to the "Chef der Heeresleitung, Nr. xxx Stora xxx". Stora is not an official reference to any army section.
